Manik Sethi

Manik is a senior marine insurance professional with over 15 years of experience in the Middle East re/insurance market. He has in-depth understanding of the general insurance and reinsurance market-leading global underwriting teams, speciality lines of business and regional offices of reinsurers in Asia & the Middle East.

He joined Volante in 2021 as Director of Marine and a member of the senior management team of Volante (DIFC) Ltd.

Before joining Volante, he was Practice Leader in the Speciality Lines team at Willis in Dubai in 2020 and 2021. Prior to that, he held leadership and underwriting roles at Qatar Re as the SEO of Qatar Re DIFC, CEO Singapore, Global Head of Marine between 2016 and 2020. He was also the Marine Underwriting Manager at Zurich Insurance Middle East between 2012 and 2016, and he held underwriting roles at Royal and Sun Alliance UAE from 2006 to 2012.

He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK and has a Masters in Commerce
